Two-level simulation of injection-induced fracture slip and wing-crack propagation in poroelastic media

چکیده
In fractured poroelastic media under high differential stress, the shearing of fractures and faults corresponding propagation wing cracks can be induced by fluid injection. Focusing on low-pressure stimulation with pressures below minimum principal stress but above threshold required to overcome fracture's frictional resistance slip, this paper presents a mathematical model numerical solution approach for coupling flow fracture propagation. Numerical challenges are related strong between hydraulic mechanical processes, material discontinuity represent in medium, wide range spatial scales involved, effect that deformation have physical processes. The is based multiscale strategy. macroscale model, matrix coupled contact mechanics, allowing frictionally slide.
